Aashay Arora won the ASU SIRF grant to conduct the field trial of EnKoat’s wall coatings on one of Arizona State University buildings. The Tier-1 funding available to students is meant to promote sustainable initiatives on ASU campus. The EnKoat team will identify a test site on ASU campus to conduct the pilot testing project and coordinate with ASU’s facilities management to validate the performance of its unique wall coating technology. Team lead for this project Aashay Arora said, “This is a great strategic breakthrough for us getting the Tier-1 sustainability grant at ASU. Once we demonstrate the potential of our wall coatings on a smaller building, we will be able to pitch in for a Tier-3 grant which is over $500k in funding for large projects on campus. We are confident in the application of our technology, the only thing that remains is to get the logistics sorted out as soon as we can and we will be ready to roll.”
