[New York, NY] — July 22, 2022 — Earlier this week, EnKoat was named among six startups to get into the first Net-Zero cohort of Upward Labs (Read more here). Upward Labs is an accelerator designed to help startups scale their innovations to meet the challenges and needs of their corporate partners. Upward’s enterprise partners are well known in the Real Estate, Retail, Insurance, Manufacturing, and Healthcare industries. Their current cohort is focused on technologies that can help decarbonize the real estate industry.
EnKoat’s technology is focused on decarbonizing the built environment by improving the energy efficiency of building envelopes and helping companies reach their net-zero goals. The news of selection was well received by EnKoat founders, who traveled to New York city this past week for the cohort kickoff event where they met with the program participants and Upward’s industry partners.
CTO Dr. Arora commented on EnKoat’s participation in this cohort, “We are glad to be able to connect with some of the biggest names in real estate through this program. The program’s strong focus towards execution and POC’s with relevant industry partners is key for us at the stage we are at. We are in a great position to showcase our technology and get case studies in different parts of the country to show real-world energy savings with our technology.”
The program is slated to take place over the next three months where EnKoat will work with these partners to identify buildings in different climates to pilot their technology, create use cases for their products and get real world demonstration. CEO Dr Aguayo says, “We want to make the best use of this program by conducting successful pilot demonstrations with some of the largest organizations in the world. Our goal is to validate and demonstrate the energy savings as well as other benefits from our technology, which are key for stakeholders to achieve their Net-Zero commitments. We are witnessing record high temperatures this year which are contributing to increasing energy demands. We want to be the go-to solution to help reduce that energy burden.”
